As a Contracts Manager, you will support the Global Supply Chain organization. This position will report to the Associate Director of the Global Supply Chain Contracts team in East Hartford, Connecticut.


You will be involved in the daily support of the Strategic Sourcing organization, which works to develop long-term relationships with suppliers of aircraft engine parts, and/or the Indirect Procurement organization, which is responsible for all general procurement activities for Pratt & Whitney facilities worldwide.


Are you a focused, highly organized wordsmith with a validated ability to navigate complex business documents? If yes, you will also have to have excellent drafting skills and the ability to champion positive relationships with colleagues in the Legal organization and across multiple business functions. Pratt & Whitney's Global Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted supply of goods and services to support its manufacturing of the world's most technologically advanced engines.


The day-to-day work largely involves drafting contracts between Pratt & Whitney and suppliers of goods and services around the world, and working side-by-side with our colleagues on the Strategic Sourcing and/or Indirect Procurement teams to negotiate favorable terms of purchase while minimizing business risks. We utilize a Microsoft Word-based Contract Lifecycle Management system, and comfort with technology is essential to success.


**Qualification:**

**Basic Qualifications:**


+ Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school

+ US Citizen due to program requirements

+ 3 + years experience drafting and negotiating complex business documents

+ 3 + years experience with compliance laws, which may include U.S. export laws


**Preferred Qualifications:**


+ Aerospace Industry

+ 3 + years of experience working with Contract Lifecycle Management systems

+ Craft clear communication

+ Creative troubleshooting skills

+ Possess excellent judgment and professional maturity

+ Validated experience with implementing new processes and standard work


**Education:** Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
