#UTCRe-EmpowerProgram The UTC Re-Empower Program is a return to work program that helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, improve leadership skills, and continue their professional journey. The program consists of a 16-week comprehensive cohort assignment, which offers a rich and rewarding experience and mentorship for program participants transitioning back into the workforce after a 2+ year career break, for reasons such as childcare, eldercare, career path change, illness, retirement or other personal matters. Selected experienced professionals will gain paid, on-the-job experience, have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and receive mentoring to guide their return to work experience. Upon completion of the 16-week program, based on performance, Re-Empower participants may have an opportunity to convert to a full-time role. The third cohort of the UTC Re-Empower Program will run from September 5 - December 21, 2018. To qualify for the UTC Re-Empower Program, candidates must meet both program and position requirements. Program Qualifications: o Currently be on a break of at least two years or more o Have a minimum of five years of professional work experience o Have an interest in returning to work in a full-time position o Have an ability to attend the Re-Empower Program Orientation at UTC Headquarters in Farmington, CT on September 5-7, 2018 Position's Basic Qualifications: o Bachelor degree o Minimum of five (5) years of meaningful experience o U.S Citizenship Required Position Description: Pratt & Whitney PP&S Program Planning & Schedule is searching for a Program Scheduler. The Master Schedule is the program's most powerful management tool and when properly maintained, the schedule can be used to influence program management decisions and actions. As a Program Scheduler, you will be: o Managing schedule health, making sure that the schedule is vertically and horizontally linked to perform program critical path assessments. o Providing consulting support to the Program Office on Military Engine Programs, identifying, analyzing and managing risk to program events, promoting the IMS as a healthy, integrated management tool. o Contributing to the development of working schedules for estimating. Preparing proposal and preliminary schedules as required and integrating proposed changes into existing schedules. o Creating program scheduling procedures and standard work, continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing training skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity as well as communicating improvements and efficiencies in scheduling processes.


Experience/Qualifications

Required: o Minimum of 5 years of experience in scheduling programs independently and effectively (i.e. Primavera, MS Project, Open Plan). o Demonstrated understanding of earned-value management principles and their application to complex projects. o Proficiency in MS Office Programs (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word). o Demonstrated proficiency in efficient and effective schedule analysis. o Knowledge in the application of integrated cost/schedule techniques on programs Preferred: o Experience working in Primavera o Familiarity with the NDIA's Planning and Scheduling Excellence Guide o Experience on DoD compliance programs, reporting requirements, and familiarity with the DoD Earned Value Management System Interpretation Guide (EVM Sig) o Experience using a Monte Carlo schedule risk simulator (i.e. Primavera Risk Analysis, Acumen Fuse) o Understanding of systems/project engineering concepts and practices


Education Certification

Required: o Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience working independently as a Program Scheduler. Preferred: o Formal training in Earned Value Management o Formal training in program scheduling
